Thailand has an average sea temperature of 28C. Most of the sites provide superb conditions for diving in Thailand. From beginners diving around Samui and Phi Phi Islands to the splendour of the world famous Similan Islands near Phuket, the warm waters are home to some of Asia's most colourful and beautiful creatures. The picturesque Similan Islands are the most popular destination, with superb underwater scenery and excellent visibility in its aquamarine waters.The world famous Richelieu Rock is perhaps the Thailand's most famous site, and it rates as one of the best places in the world for diving with whale sharks.You can dive in Thailand all year round. The best conditions exist from November to April, with whale sharks visiting from February to May, and manta rays all year round.
